Albert Pike Recreation Area
This recreation area is located in the southern portion of the national forest. Visitors are invited to hike the nature trail or experience the excitement of a canoe trip on the Little Missouri River.

Bard Springs
Small campground with Adirondack-type shelters in a remote mountain setting on a small scenic stream. It provides a good site for a base camp for hikers in the Caney Creek Wilderness.

Cossatot River State Park-Natural Area
This park-natural area extends for 12 miles along the National Wild and Scenic Cossatot River. The river forms Cossatot Falls, a rocky canyon with Class IV rapids for experienced kayakers and canoeists when local rainfall increases the watershed. Brushy Creek Recreation Area offers picnic sites, restrooms, and river access.

Fourche Mountain Trail
The Fourche Mountain Trail (formerly Mill Creek Equestrian Trail) offers breathtaking views of Fourche Mountain and Buck Knob. While this trail network provides horseback riding opportunities, it also offers day hiking, mountain biking, ORV and motorcycle riding.

Little Missouri Falls
The Little Missouri Falls is a sizable waterfall on the upper reaches of the Little Missouri River in southwest Arkansas in the Ouachita National Forest.

Ouachita River
The Ouachita River starts in the Ouachita Mountains as a mountain stream just west of Eagleton, Arkansas in Polk County. The stretch of river between Eagleton and Lake Ouachita is a popular float stream.

Queen Wilhelmina State Park
Located atop Rich Mountain, Arkansas’s second highest peak, Queen Wilhelmina offers some of the most breathtaking views in the state from the fully renovated lodge. Travel the Talimena National Scenic Byway to this park and its lofty setting.

Shady Lake
The Shady Lake Trail traverses Saline Creek and passes the historic Shady Lake Dam. It continues along the eastern edge of the campground. The trail is ideal for day hiking. Mountain bikers may also use the trail.

Talimena National Scenic Byway
From Mena, the Talimena Scenic Drive/Arkansas State Highway 88 Scenic Byway travels northwest and quickly enters the Ouachita National Forest, climbing Rich Mountain, Arkansas’s second highest peak at 2,681 feet, and passing through Queen Wilhelmina State Park on its way to the Oklahoma border 18 miles to the west.

The Blue - Zip Line & Farm

Winding Stair Mountain
The 26,445-acre National Recreation Area encompasses Talimena Scenic Drive in Oklahoma, Talimena Drive Visitor Information Station, Old Military Road, Horsethief Springs, Winding Stair Campground, Cedar Lake Campground, Cedar Lake Equestrian Camp and Pipe Springs.
